Types of customs clearance

T1

External Union/Common Transit for non-Union goods moving under customs control until final clearance or another procedure.

Use cases

Relevant when goods are not in free circulation and need to move before import clearance.

T2

Internal Union/Common Transit used to preserve Union goods status when goods move through or to common transit territories.

TIR

Transit movement under the TIR system for qualifying international road transport operations.

ATA-Carnet

Carnet-based temporary movement for eligible goods where the carnet coordinates customs presentation across borders.
